Most jobs are made up of several smaller pieces of work. Adding tasks lets you break a job into clear steps, hand each one to the right person and see at a glance how the work is progressing. Here is how to add tasks to a job.
From the CRMit menu, open Jobs List and select the job you want to work on. This opens the job's record.
On the job, open the Tasks tab. This is where all the tasks for this job live.
Add a new task and fill in its details:
Repeat for each part of the job. Splitting the work into several small tasks makes a big job much easier to manage and share out.
Click Save to store your tasks against the job. Your team can now see what they have been assigned.
As your team works through the job, update each task's status. When every task is done, the job is ready to move on to invoicing.
Tip: Use tasks to split big jobs into clear steps. Smaller tasks are easier to assign, quicker to tick off and give you a much better view of progress.
With your tasks in place, you can start tracking the time spent on them and turn the finished work into an invoice.
