How to invoice a completed job

3 min read·Beginner

Once a job is finished, turning it into an invoice takes just a couple of clicks. CRMit pulls together the time and materials you logged along the way, so you bill the full value of the work. Here is how to invoice a completed job.

  1. Mark the job complete

Open the job and set its status to Complete. This tells CRMit the work is finished and ready to bill.

  2. Open Uninvoiced Jobs

From the CRMit menu, open Uninvoiced Jobs List. This gathers every completed job that has not yet been billed in one place.

  3. Select the job

Find the job you want to invoice and select it. You can search or filter the list if you have several waiting.

  4. Create an invoice from it

Choose to create an invoice from the job. CRMit builds a draft invoice using the details recorded against it.

  5. Review the lines, including time and materials

Check the invoice lines carefully. They can include the billable time your team logged and any materials or billable items added to the job. Adjust anything that needs tidying up before you send.

  6. Send the invoice

When you are happy, save and send the invoice to your customer. The job is now billed and clears from the uninvoiced list.

Tip: Check Uninvoiced Jobs regularly so no work goes unbilled. It is the quickest way to spot finished jobs that are still waiting to be turned into cash.
