Once an invoice is ready, you can email it straight to your customer from CRMit with the PDF attached. The recipients are filled in from the customer's billing addresses, so most of the work is already done. Here is how to send one.
From the CRMit menu, open Invoices and select the invoice you want to send. This opens the invoice details page.
Choose the Send Invoice option on the invoice. This opens a compose window where you can review the email before it goes out.
The To and CC fields are pre-filled from the customer's Invoice To and Invoice CC email addresses. Check they are right and add or remove any addresses as needed.
Review the subject line and the message body. You can adjust the wording to add a personal note or a reference for the customer.
Check that the invoice PDF is attached to the email. This is the copy your customer will keep and pay against.
Click Send to email the invoice. The invoice is marked as sent so you can see at a glance what has gone out.
Tip: Set the Invoice To email on the customer record and the recipients fill in automatically every time, so you never have to look them up.
With the invoice sent, keep your records up to date and follow up if it is not paid on time.
