If you already keep your customers in a spreadsheet, you do not need to type them in one by one. CRMit can import them in a single upload, so your whole customer list is ready in minutes. Here is how to do it.
From the CRMit menu on the left, select Data Import. This is where you bring your customers, products and other records in from spreadsheets.
Pick Customers as the type of data you want to import. This tells CRMit what your spreadsheet contains.
Download the template spreadsheet. It shows exactly which columns CRMit expects, so your data lines up correctly.
Add your customers to the template, one per row. The key columns are:
Upload your finished spreadsheet, then match each of your columns to the matching CRMit field. If you used the template, most columns map across automatically.
Check the preview to make sure everything looks right, then confirm the import. Your customers appear in your Customer List, ready to use across quotes, jobs and invoices.
Tip: Double-check the email columns before you import so invoices reach the right inbox. Fixing them now is far quicker than correcting each customer later.
With your customers imported, you can bring in the rest of your data or start adding customers by hand as new ones come along.
