Sometimes an invoice is not quite ready to send: you might be waiting on a final figure or checking a detail with a colleague. A draft lets you prepare the invoice now and finalise it later, without it counting as a live invoice. Here is how to work with drafts.
From the CRMit menu, under Invoicing, open the Invoice Draft List. This shows the invoices you have started but not yet finalised.
Start a new draft, or open an existing one from the list to carry on where you left off.
Fill in the invoice as usual:
Save the draft at any point. It stays in the draft list so you can come back and complete it whenever you are ready.
Once everything is confirmed, finalise the draft to turn it into a live invoice. From there you can send it to your customer.
Tip: Drafts are handy when you are waiting on details. Prepare the invoice now so it is ready to send the moment you have the final figures.
Once a draft is finalised you can raise it as a full invoice and get it to your customer.
