How to configure company settings

4 min readΒ·Beginner

Your company settings are the defaults that run through the whole of CRMit. Getting them right once means every quote, invoice and email uses the correct details, so you save time and keep everything consistent. Here is how to set them up.

  1. Open Settings

From the CRMit menu on the left, select Settings. This is where all of your company-wide defaults live, grouped into sections you can move between.

  2. Review your company details

Check the core information about your business:

    • Your company name and trading address.
    • Your registration and VAT numbers, if you have them.
    • Your main contact details, so customers can reach you.
  3. Set your financial defaults

Set the figures that CRMit uses automatically on new documents:

    • Your default VAT rate.
    • Your default payment terms, for example Net 30.
    • Any currency or numbering defaults for invoices and quotes.
  4. Set up email and notifications

Choose how CRMit sends messages on your behalf. Set the address your invoices and quotes are sent from, and pick which notifications you and your team receive.

  5. Check your branding

Confirm your logo and brand details are in place. These appear on the documents you send, so it is worth making sure they look right before you save.

  6. Save your settings

Click Save. Your defaults now apply across CRMit, so new records pick them up automatically.

Tip: Getting your defaults right once saves work on every document. When your VAT rate, payment terms and branding are set here, you rarely need to change them again.

What's next

With your settings in place, tidy up your branding and set up the automations that save you the most time.
